Jakarta (ANTARA) – AR/VR headset devices or now known as Mixed Reality from Apple could potentially use the M2 chip.
Citing The Verge, Tuesday, the latest report from Bloomberg by Mark Gurman mentions the latest developments from headset Mixed Reality Apple is chipset changed and the RAM embedded in the device is 16 GB.
The report contradicts the predictions of Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who said the headset Mixed Reality Apple is an M1 chip as a single processor.
Apple announced their latest chip, the M2 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June 2022.
The M2 chipset has the advantage of a CPU and GPU that perform faster by 18 percent and 35 percent, respectively, compared to the M1 chip from the previous generation.
Also in his report, Mark Gurman mentions the potential for Apple’s mixed reality headset to work better than Meta’s current headset, the all-in-one Meta Quest 2.
When viewed from the current Meta Headset specifications, it is indeed much lower than the Apple device grid because Meta Quest 2 only has 6GB RAM and a Snapdragon XR2 processor.
The device is expected to be released in January 2023. This news is reinforced by Apple’s report which states that its board of directors has tasted the device for the first time Mixed Reality in May 2022.
With Apple’s operating system, RealityOS, Apple seems to be getting closer to the release of the headset Mixed Reality.
