Apple’s AI Service ‘Apple Intelligence’ Set to Launch Paid Features by 2027: What to Expect

Apple will reportedly not offer paid services for its artificial intelligence (AI), namely Apple Intelligence, until at least 2027.

Reporting from Between Tuesday (13/8/2024), Apple Intelligence should be widely felt this year through the presence of the iPhone 16 series next October.

This is a very new product so in order to be able to present a product with a paid scheme, more serious development is still needed.

Senior Correspondent Mark Gurman Bloomberg projects that will improve the Apple Intelligence paid product at least three years, which is the best scenario.

Regarding the paid service Apple Intelligence, Mark Gurman brought it up last month and said it was possible that the company based in Cupertino might develop a service called Apple Intelligence +.

It is basically Apple Intelligence but comes with additional features that users must pay a monthly fee to access.

Apple already has a tiered subscription setup for iCloud, so Apple Intelligence could work similarly to that.

iCloud provides 5 GB of free storage to all users, but for a fee, the iCloud+ subscription plan includes more storage as well as access to features like iCloud Private Relay.

In the future, basic access to Apple Intelligence may remain free, with more advanced features requiring a subscription. (ant/saf/ham)
