It had been two days since the analysts had put aside their crystal ball. Ming Chi Kuo is focusing on Macs today. According to him, Apple is reportedly working on a new 15-inch laptop that could launch around the second quarter of 2023 (or a bit later). This could be equipped with an M2 chip (and a 35W charger) or even an M2 Pro chip (with a 67W charger).
In a previous tweet back in March, he had already said it might not be a MacBook Air, but didn’t give any further details. But what Mac could it be? Introducing a new size in the MacBook Pro would be very strange given an already well-stocked range between 13, 14 and 16 inches (and would offer little difference between the models). A large MacBook Air might be more interesting…
Unless Apple decides to revive MacBooks in 12 and 15 inches ? And on this last point, Ming Chi Kuo also has his say, since he specifies that he has never heard of a 12-inch MacBook in preparation.
