IDXChannel – According to the report of renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will start selling iPhone with a 6.7 inch screen. The smartphone will be sold for less than USD 900 or around Rp. 13 million starting in 2022, as quoted from The Verge, Thursday (24/6/2021)
If this is true, iPhone buyers will get a more spacious screen at a cheaper price than the current iPhone 12 Pro Max, which starts at USD 1,099 or Rp. 15.8 million.
Kuo estimates that Apple’s 2022 non-pro iPhone lineup includes phones with 6.1 and 6.7-inch displays, the same size as the current iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, respectively.
Also, there will be no iPhone Mini with a 5.7-inch screen. Analysts, including Kuo, say that the iPhone Mini will be discontinued in 2022 due to reported low sales.
If Apple has decided to make a phone with big screen but the price is cheap, it was done after seeing research that many consumers want a phone with these specifications.
In addition to his predictions about a low-end 6.7-inch iPhone, 9to5Mac also reports that Kuo said the 2022 iPhone will have an under-display fingerprint reader, and there will be a new iPhone SE with 5G network support.
