Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple’s wearable product, the Apple Watch X, is rumored to appear with major design changes to mark the 10th anniversary of the product or in 2024.
The news was first revealed by journalist from Bloomberg Mark Gurman who said Watch X would come with a slimmer appearance and also introduce a magnetic system for the strap.
In a report by Gizmochina, Sunday (13/8), Apple is exploring a magnetic attachment method for the watch band so that users can more freely adjust the strap and improve the space utilization of the watch body.
With this design, it is estimated that the Apple Watch X can also have more space for other feature enhancements such as a larger battery.

It is not yet known in detail how the magnetic system will work but what is expected is that it can bring new performance improvements to this wearable product.
Beyond the aesthetic changes, the Apple Watch X may also introduce advanced technology like a micro-LED screen and sensors to track blood pressure.
The transformation to the Apple Watch X is expected to bring about changes that will be similar to those of the iPhone 7 to iPhone X, signaling a shift in Apple’s approach.

Previous reports suggested there could be a potential delay to the launch of microLED-equipped Apple Watches due to a reconfiguration of the production chain, pushing the release from 2025 to 2026.
However, this new report contradicts previous reports.
In addition, Apple usually consistently launches a new Apple Watch every year and consistently brings gradual improvements but not in massive changes.
Seeing this new news, Apple seems to want to slow down the fast release cycle.
With the Apple Watch Series 9 expected to be a minor refresh this fall, all eyes are set for the upcoming Apple Watch X models.
