Apple Watch 9, which will be released this fall, will receive a few changes. According to Mark Gurman, the renewal of the line in the anniversary year of 2024, the Apple Watch X, will be more ambitious.
Unlike the iPhone, the annual changes to the Apple Watch are minor. The main improvement for the 2022 Watch Series 8 is the temperature sensor. A year earlier, the watch received a larger display. In 2021, the Apple Watch Series 6 received a faster chip and a blood oxygen sensor.
The company plans to release the Apple Watch X to mark the tenth anniversary of the device and is preparing a major update. It is tentatively known that Apple plans to release the Watch X in 2024 or 2025.
The company’s designers are working on a thinner case and are exploring the possibility of changing the way straps attach to watches. Developers note that existing mounts take up a lot of space, which can be used to increase battery capacity or accommodate other components. Research is currently underway on the magnetic fastening of the strap.
It is known to use a microLED display with better color display and clarity. Another innovation will be the technology for measuring blood pressure. The information received is quite early, a year or more before the release of the Apple Watch X, the plans of developers may change.
