Normally, new iPhone and Apple Watch models are announced during a (physical) event in September. However, 2020 is not exactly a normal year, so we also have to take into account in tech land that things are going differently. Of course, that also applies to Apple’s announcements and product launches.
How we’ll be seeing Apple’s latest announcements this year isn’t entirely clear yet. We can at least take into account that the iPhone 12 will not be announced live by people on stage this year. During WWDC we saw how Apple already dealt with digital presentations. Of course, press releases are then shared fairly quickly with the press, so that the news can be spread quickly. Last year there was still a complete room full of journalists looking at all the autumn announcements. That was the world back then, now we are dealing with a new status quo.
What about the Apple Watch Series 6?
Last month, Jon Prosser also claimed that Apple intends to announce the new iPad and Apple Watch models in the second week of September, through press releases. He also said that the iPhone 12 line will be presented in October at a virtual event. However, this week Twitterer claims L0vetodream that we should not expect a smartwatch from the Cupertino company at all this month.
there is no Watch this month

This same Twitter account has often presented accurate details about Apple devices yet to be announced in recent months, so probably the best man or woman is right this time too. If L0vetodream is right, Mac Otakara’s prediction might come true. That website previously claimed that both the iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch in the second week of October presented during a (probably digital) event.
