This is TingYu from Taiwan. This is an email to show how grateful my family is to apple’s product. Below is a photo taken from the day that accident happened. My mom lives alone and fell down broke the glass window on 7th August in the afternoon. Her Apple immediately called the 119 and sent notification to me and my sister (who lives in the US). I immediately called her back, heard her very weak voice she tried to stay awake even she lost lots of blood) and already heard the ambulance’s alert from the phone. The police broke her door and sent her to hospital in time. Though she did lost of blood transfusion and operation in the hospital, the hospital did save her life. Thanks to Apple Watch, without it, we would have lost our mom on that day. Thanks again and please keep the innovation going. How to enable fall detection function?
The fall detection function of Apple Watch is applicable to subsequent models of Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4. When it detects that the user has fallen seriously, it will vibrate and tap the user’s wrist and sound a warning sound. and will be prompted on the screen. At this point, the user can choose to contact emergency services, or press the digital crown, click “Close” in the upper left corner, or click “I’m OK” to turn off the prompt. If the Apple Watch detects that you have moved, it will wait for you to respond to the prompt and will not automatically call emergency services; if the watch detects no movement for 1 minute, it will automatically call emergency services.
