The latest watchOS has caused battery problems for several people who have an Apple Watch. Something Apple itself has informed its authorized service workshops about, according to MacRumors.
It is the recently released version 10.1 of watchOS that allegedly causes many to experience that the battery life has worsened significantly.
Among other things via the forum Reddit you can read about many frustrated users who find that the watch does not charge properly.
– My watch does not charge above 50 percent and the battery drains in 15 minutes, writes one user.
– My colleague has an Ultra 2, which also has an absolutely absurd battery usage. It drains the entire battery from 100 to 10 percent in three hours, writes another.
Promises recovery
In the information that Apple has sent out to its workshops, it is stated that they are aware of the problem, and that they are not least working to get an update in place that fixes the problem.
But they don’t say anything about when you can download a fix. It just says “coming soon”.
It must nevertheless be said that Apple has rarely been in the habit of procrastinating when such precarious errors in the software as this have appeared. So hopefully we’ll only talk for a few days at worst.
New function

One of the things that the latest update could tempt with was the new double-tap feature that can be used on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch 9.
For example, you can answer an incoming call or turn off the alarm by quickly tapping your fingers together twice. So you no longer have to touch the screen itself to perform a number of functions, such as starting/stopping a song, or answering an incoming phone call.
But there are many who struggle to get any pleasure from this for so long due to problems with battery life.
Have you experienced any problems with the new upgrade? Feel free to share in the comments section.
