Even if the Apple has changed little in the eyes of the end user, Watch 7 has undergone an internal reorganization that showcases the company’s efforts to bring it to life. Now with fast loading and a larger screen, the smartwatch also features new touchscreen technology and even a larger battery.
Something immediately noticeable in the watch’s dismantling is its thinnest layer of canvas. This is because, unlike previous generations, the touch panel is now integrated into the OLED display. It is common in the industry for the layer responsible for touch commands to be separate from the screen itself.
Also, the smartwatch battery got bigger. The 41 mm model brings 6.8% more energy capacity, and the 45 mm one has 1.6% more load. When we look at their physical size, the difference is minimal. In the end, they should just make up for the consumption of the gadget’s larger screen.

The analysis of the internal components also confirmed the end of the physical serial port — which has likely been swapped for ultra-fast wireless data technology. The end of the “secret” in the product design would have collaborated for Apple to insert IP6X certification into it (dust resistance).
Component interchangeability
Remember, the Apple Watch 7 uses the same platform (SoC) of Apple Watch 6, so there was no news for this component. A curious thing is that, unlike some physical protection mechanisms do iPhone 13, the new watch had its haptic sensor, screen, and even battery changed without the device activating any blocking trigger.
Even so, iFixit’s rating was a 6/10. It should be noted that the analysis of the internal components had the collaboration of a former Apple engineer who previously worked in the company’s wearables area — including the Apple Watch.
Remember, the Apple Watch 7 is already available in Brazil. Insiders point out that it was a product created in the nick of time — as leaks pointed out a drastic redesign, and he was not confirmed at the official event.
