Dhis test was made 37 meters above sea level. At least that’s what the new Apple Watch Series 6 reveals, which now has an altimeter that continuously – well – shows the altitude on the dial without consuming too much power.
Fitness club: 45 meters. Baker: 30 meters. In a city like Berlin, of course, this only makes limited sense. But if you go hiking in the mountains, you want to find out how many meters you have to go up or down.
Apple has introduced two new smartwatches. In addition to the Series 6, there is also a mid-range model with the suffix SE. The Apple Watch Series 6, however, is the company’s flagship model.

While both watches have installed the new altimeter, Apple has come up with something additional for the Series 6: The model can measure the oxygen content in the blood.
It works on the wrist within 15 seconds. As with heart rate measurement, the watch works with light on the underside of the watch and evaluates how strongly it is reflected. Put simply, light blood has more oxygen than dark blood.
