(Boursier.com) — Apple plans to start using its custom screens in mobile devices as early as next year, reports Bloomberg. Those with knowledge of the matter say that Apple plans to start replacing the screens on high-end Apple Watches by the end of 2024, although the goal could potentially slip to 2025, the company may plan to use the screens on other devices. The article reports that the displays are upgrading the current OLED standard to microLED, negatively impacting Samsung Display and LG Display, the two main suppliers of the watch, as well as Japan Display, Sharp and BOE Technology Group.
