Apple TV+ travel series ‘The Reluctant Traveller’ premieres February 24, 2023

Apple TV+ today announced that “The Reluctant Traveller,” a new globetrotting travel series hosted and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Eugene Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”), will premiere worldwide on February 24, 2023. The eight episodes of the series follow Levy as he visits some of the world’s most beautiful and intriguing destinations in Costa Rica, Finland, Italy, Japan, the Maldives, Portugal, South Africa and the United States; he explores notable hotels and the places and cultures that surround them.

As he himself confessed, he is not the typical travel program presenter: he is not usually an adventurer or a consummate globetrotter; however, Levy agrees that the time has finally come for him to broaden his horizons. The actor packs his bags with some trepidation, but hopes his experiences lead him to a new chapter in life, even if it means facing some of his deepest fears. Join him as he straps in for the ultimate revealing adventure!

“The Reluctant Traveller” is produced for Apple TV+ by Twofour. In addition to acting, Levy executive produces with David Brindley.

“The Reluctant Traveller” joins a growing list of acclaimed and award-winning docuseries on Apple TV+, including the critically acclaimed docuseries “The Big Conn” featuring the largest Social Security fraud in history; the award-winning documentary “Prehistoric Planet,” with Academy Award-nominated narrator Sir David Attenborough; “Make or Break,” the World Surf League docuseries; the Emmy Award-nominated elevated home design docuseries “Home”; the Emmy Award-nominated modern warfare docuseries “The Line”; the acclaimed four-part Emmy-nominated documentary series “They Call Me Magic,” chronicling the life and career of two-time NBA Hall of Famer and cultural icon Earvin “Magic” Johnson; the Emmy Award-nominated docuseries “Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson” and the documentary event “Gutsy,” with executive producers and hosts Hillary and Chelsea Clinton taking us on an intimate journey to meet some of the most extraordinary women in the world .
