Apple TV + to premiere a docuseries on climate change

There is not a week that we do not talk about a new project or purchase of Apple rights to continue expanding the catalog of audiovisual content of its video platform Apple TV+. Series, films, documentaries and musicals are accumulating in the menus that appear on the platform’s screen.

Today it is the turn of a new docuseries that is being shot and that Apple has acquired the broadcasting rights (that is to say, since today, digital platforms do not “broadcast” anything, but rather “hang” on their servers its contents) of a new series of documentaries on the climate change.

“Extrapolations”, (it is assumed that in Spanish it will be titled “Extrapolations”) is a series of documentaries on climate change, which will premiere next year on Apple TV +, as reported Variety. The series has been created by Scott Z. Burns, who is currently writing, directing and producing it.

The docuseries will tell “intimate and unforeseen stories” about how changes on the planet will affect “love, faith, work and family on a personal and human scale.” The series will feature 10 episodes linked.

“Most of the narrative on climate change has focused on science and getting people to accept it,” explains its director. «Our goal with«Extrapolations»Is to go beyond science and use drama, comedy, mystery and every other genre to allow us to consider how every aspect of our world is going to change in the coming years. We know that the climate is going to change »Burns added in the presentation of his project.

His latest work has been the documentary on climate change “An inconvenient truth” and “An inconvenient sequel: Truth to power.” He has also worked on successful films such as “Contagion”, “Side Effects” and “The Laundry.”

The series is still in the filming phase, so it won’t be released on Apple TV + until well into the spring of next year. We will publish the release date and maybe a promotional trailer when we have news.
