The premiere of the second season of Apple TV + The original series “Trying” has been delayed for a week, and the series is now scheduled to air on Apple’s streaming service on May 21.

Apple confirmed the new release date in a Tweeter Thursday that sparked the show’s second season. A short video accompanying the article offers a glimpse of what will happen in the lives of the main characters Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall).

“The road to adoption has been a roller coaster ride for Jason. Fortunately, he is surrounded by people who support him. Ish. # Trying Season 2 launches May 21 on Apple TV +, ”says Apple.

The second season was originally scheduled to debut on May 14. Apple did not provide an explanation for the delay.

“Trying” follows the story of Nikki and Jason as the couple navigate the complex path to adoption. The second season picks up where the first ended, with the couple approved by the adoption committee and looking for a child. Now they have to match potential candidates, a process that is not as straightforward as they imagined.

Apple TV + acquired the BBC comedy as the first British scripted comedy series. The show debuts to positive reviews in May 2020 and has since been collected for at least two more seasons.

“Trying” is the brainchild of writer Andy Wolton.
