Apple TV Plus free trial subscription is extended again. Currently, members whose subscription was due to expire by June will expire in July 2021. The first free TV Plus expansion was announced in October and was scheduled to end in February of this year. Apple offers a free trial of its streaming service with recently purchased Apple devices like iPhone, Mac, iPad, etc. Customers must redeem offer within first 90 days of purchase through the Apple TV app.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple TV Plus members with an annual subscription that expires between February and June will also receive the same month (s) of additional service at no additional cost. Apple has yet to officially announce this development, although the publication notes that the company will begin notifying eligible customers via email in the coming weeks. TV Plus members will have nothing to do on their own.
Unfortunately, users who have canceled their free membership are not eligible for this offer, the report adds. The current extension may also apply to customers in India, as Apple previously increased the streaming service’s free trial period from October 2020 to February 2021 globally. However, no official word has yet come out of the company.
The company also hopes to encourage existing members to renew the Apple TV Plus subscription once it expires. The second expansion series gives it more time to expand the TV Plus content offering and increase the value proposition of the service, as the company releases new flagship series and films as well as the second seasons of its popular launch shows. . Some of the notable upcoming titles include Russo Brothers’ Cherry with Tom Holland. The second season of For All Mankind and a documentary on pop sensation Billie Eilish are also in the works. The price of the streaming service in India starts at Rs 99 (monthly), and it also comes with an Apple One subscription, priced at Rs 195 per month. The One subscription additionally includes iCloud storage and music subscription.
