Apple to Unveil New iPads: What to Expect for 2023

In the second half of last year, we already saw the release of the latest iPhones with the number 15 in the name, two new smart watches and improved computers at the same time. Apple-branded tablets will most likely be next.

This can also be seen with the invitation, which this time is very educational. It shows a cartoon human hand playing with an Apple Pencil. That is, with a special style that is precisely used by iPads.

However, the American computer giant is still keeping all the details of the introduced news under wraps. It will be clear next week on Tuesday at 16:00 CET when the holidays start.

The latest news from the world of tablets was presented by Apple the year before last October, ie almost two years ago. At that time, two different records played with the logo of a bitten apple first.

As for the high-end iPad Pro, significant changes were made in the guts of the device, the tablet received a newer M2 processor instead of the older Apple M1 chip.

The Apple M2 chip has up to 15 percent faster 8-core CPUs and up to 35 percent faster 10-core GPUs compared to previous generations. And 40 percent faster Neural Engine to accelerate machine learning tasks and 50 percent more memory transfer.

Thanks to this chip it is possible to create photorealistic 3D designs on the tablet, build sophisticated AR models and play games with console-level graphics and higher frame rates. The battery lasts all day with all this.

The performance is enough for the device to work as a laptop with a special cover. Similarly, it is possible to connect the latest iPad Pro with a cable directly to the monitor and use it with a keyboard and mouse as a desktop PC.

Prices for the iPad Pro with an 11-inch display start at CZK 25,990, and for the 12.9-inch version, at CZK 35,490. In this regard, the second novel of last autumn, called simply iPad (2022), is cheaper. Apple values ​​the cheapest version at CZK 14,490.

The second novel was the basic iPad, which finally turned after years to the design language of its little brothers – the iPad Air or Pro. Unlike the older nine, the iPad (2022) has thin bezels around the screen and has gotten rid of the now outdated home button under the display.

The pleasant appearance of this iPad with a 10.9-inch display is reinforced by the full range of colors offered – you can buy the 10th generation iPad in blue, pink, silver and yellow. You get all of them in a 10.9-inch body with a Retina display. You can choose between WiFi and 5G connection, in capacities from 64 to 256 GB.

The USB-C interface takes care of charging in the same way as the case of the iPad Pro. There are also other equipment typical of high-end Apple tablets, such as the Magic Keyboard Folio case with Trackpad, with which the tablet can work as a laptop at the same time.

The heart of this record is the Apple A14 Bionic processor, which powered, for example, the iPhone 12. The latest chips are, of course, better at performance, but the A14 is not at all. Even by today’s standards, it still has plenty of power.
