To continue expanding its catalog with proposals in all formats, this week Apple TV + has released the docuserie World Surf League. It follows the story of several champions of the famous sport during a competition.
World Surf League consists of six chapters. The first of them next to release this week will be the introduction of what Apple described as a “rich exploration” of the people who make up the 2021 World Surf League Men’s and Women’s Championship Tour, taking viewers on a journey to some of the most incredible surf spots in the world.

According to the presentation of the docuseries, it will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the “aspirations, failures and achievements” of the best surfers in the world in their fight for the title of the World Surf League.
The first episode will take place in Hawaii and throughout the program we will see recordings in the paradisiacal settings of Santa Cruz, California; New South Wales, Australia; Papara, Tahiti; Taghazout Bay, Morocco; Bali, Indonesia; Tuamotus, French Polynesia; Netanya, Israel. All venues of the most important surfing competitions.
Fans of the sport will have the opportunity to see a little more closely the preparation of the world’s highest-ranked stars, such as Italo Ferreira, Gabriel Medina, Jordy Smith, Caroline Marks, Lakey Peterson y Stephanie Gilmore at the world championships.
In addition to following the adventures of its protagonists, the docuserie will immerse itself in different surf cultures and will visit topics related to sport such as eco conservation, sustainability and marine preservation. Box Films and the World Surf League have teamed up to produce the documentary series for Apple.
