Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple is expected to carry out a major overhaul of the design and features that will be integrated into the iPhone 15 next year.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is quite good at reading Apple’s movements, estimates that significant changes to the iPhone usually occur every three years. He is very confident that the iPhone coming out next year will be very different from the iPhone 14, both in terms of looks and the technology used.
The most obvious revision, reported by Phone Arena and The Verge, on Monday, on the iPhone 15 is a matter of name. Instead of “Pro Max”, Apple is said to be using the name “Ultra” for the highest series of phones.
Apple is already using the “Ultra” variant on its newly launched smartwatch earlier this month, the Watch Ultra.
IPhone 15 is also expected to use a USB-C port, in part because the European Union signed a requirement for devices marketed in the region to use USB-C by 2024.
The premium version of the iPhone 15 will use a periscope lens, including the Ultra version.
Meanwhile, supply chain analyst Ross Young predicts that the Dynamic Island feature, currently only available on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro max, will become a mandatory feature on all iPhone 15 models.
Apple just launched the iPhone 14 series in early September, consisting of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 114 Pro Max.
