We expect no less than 5 new products from Cupertino for the end of the year.
Like every year, back to school should be synonymous with keynotes on the Apple side. There are also rumors of two different keynotes this year. The new iPhone is more than likely to be unveiled, as are the new Apple Watch and AirPods 3.
On the other hand, the second keynote, in the fall, could be the occasion for Apple to unveil a new iPad Mini and the first 16 ″ MacBook Pro running under an Apple Silicon SoC. Explanations.
iPhone 13
This is probably the most anticipated product at the end of the year by Apple aficionados. Like every year, Apple should lift the veil on its new high-end smartphone, but also on a mini model.
As Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reports, in his newsletter, the next iPhone should more than likely be called iPhone 13. The superstitious will unfortunately have to live with it. The notch at the top of the screen would finally be reduced, and it would finally be possible to shoot in Portrait mode. A new chip, the A15, will more than likely be part of the game, while a 120Hz screen would be offered on Pro models.
AirPods 3
The AirPods 3 could finally see their design revised and get slightly closer to the Pro models. The stem of the earphones would notably be smaller, while the tips will be closer to those of the AirPods Pro.
The Premium features of AirPods Pro would obviously not be there. Exit therefore active noise reduction and Transparency mode. On the other hand, the new design would make it possible to reduce surrounding noise.
Apple Watch Series 7
According to Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 7 would finally be the model that would bring a whole new design. It is a question of a model with less rounded, flatter edges. The screen could be improved again, as could the chip, which would be even more powerful.
The Apple Fitness + service could, for its part, benefit from new features, such as “Time to Walk”, which would encourage the user to go for a little walk. Audio meditation classes would also be part of the event.
iPad Mini 6
“The new iPad mini is set to become a favorite among Apple fans, with its thinner bezels and a completely overhauled design.” Indeed, the new iPad mini 6 could see its design come a little closer to that of the iPad Air. Thinner borders therefore, but also a Smart Connector on the back and more than likely Touch ID on the standby button.
Unlike the Pro models which now carry the new SoC M1, the iPad mini should recover the same chip as the iPhone 13, the A15. A USB-C connector and a larger screen than previous models would be on the program.
MacBook Pro
Finally, Mark Gurman concludes by saying that he does not intend to see the new MacBook Pro 13 ″ and 16 ″ unveiled in September. Indeed, we would have to wait for a second keynote, scheduled for October or even November. During this event, Apple would “celebrate” the two years of the largest model with the introduction of two new MacBooks equipped with an M1X chip.
The design would be slightly revised, with a larger screen and thinner edges. The connectors would be changed, with the arrival of an HDMI port, an SD card slot and a revised MagSafe connector. On the other hand, the TouchBar would go by the wayside in favor of physical buttons.
