TEXAS – Localities of Apple Stores in Houston and other parts of Texas have made the decision to temporarily close its doors in response to the spike in cases around the COVID-19 state.
All eight stores in Houston closed Monday until further notice, their websites report.
Stores in Austin and San Antonio also closed their doors.
Apple had already closed stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the Business Journal reported.
Customers can still pick up orders they placed online and Genius Support appointments will be honored until January 18.
This is not the first time that Apple Stores have closed their doors due to the pandemic. The tech giant closed its doors globally in March during the first weeks of the pandemic. In May they began to reopen gradually depending on the cases in each respective area.
