Divide
Sometimes you have to share your disbelief on social media. A Twitter user felt the same way after a concert in Düsseldorf. The reason was the drink prices.
Düsseldorf – Most people know this moment: At Christmas you go to a restaurant, a football stand, a festival or the Christmas market and the drinks are much more expensive than at the supermarket checkout. So did a Twitter user who promptly shared his experiences on the platform.
In the Mitsubishi Electric Hall, the lady paid six euros plus deposit for a non-alcoholic beer. The user would have been at a concert in the well-known event hall in Düsseldorf.
Moneylender price in the Düsseldorf concert hall: “Next time again apple spritzer”
The user probably won’t be buying non-alcoholic beer any time soon. That’s exactly what she clarified in another tweet: “Next time again apple spritzer,” she wrote and got the endorsement.
Another user noted that you only know from the football stadium and that the beer itself is not that expensive there.
Events industry in crisis: poor pre-sales and lack of staff
One reason for the huge drink prices could be the current situation in the events industry. Although festivals, concerts and tours have been back for many months, the concert and events industry is still a long way from its old strength.
The main reasons are low pre-sales, excessive production costs and lack of personnel. Events featuring international megastars are often sold out, said Jens Michow, president of the Federal Association of the Concert and Event Industry, the German news agency in Hamburg. “However, this does not apply to the rest and thus to the absolute majority of current concert offers.” (dpa)
