Apple Software Helps Users Create Apps for Their Own MR Headsets

Latest News, International – Apple Inc is developing software to help up-and-coming mixed-reality (MR) headset users build their own augmented reality apps.

Reported from Reutersit is according to the report The Information on Friday (29/1/23), citing four people who claim to be working on the headset.

According to reports Bloomberg Newsthe company is in talks with several media partners including Walt Disney Co to develop virtual reality content for its MR headset.

The iPhone maker did not immediately respond to the news.

Mixed-reality is one of three types of augmented reality technology often associated with the metaverse.

“The MR headset allows the wearer to use real world objects to trigger virtual world reactions. Apple’s MR headset will be unveiled at this year’s spring event and will cost around $3,000,” says a report from Bloomberg News.

That would be double the virtual reality headset and mix of Meta Platforms Inc.

Meta’s VR Quest Pro, which launched late last year for $1,500.
