Apple announced the arrival of a new color iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. This time, the yellow color was chosen, which reminds me of Nokia Banana.
Yes, Nokia Banana comes in yellow. It’s just that the yellow color on the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus is younger, so it makes the eye captivate.
Apple often presents new colors after six months of initial release. Last year, the Cupertino-headquartered tech giant released a dark green color, and in 2021 it’s releasing a purple color.
The yellow color on the iPhone is not the first time this has been presented by Apple. Previously, the iPhone 11 had a pale yellow color option, then the iPhone XR came in dark yellow.
Besides color, Yellow iPhone 14 no specification changes. The iPhone 14 comes with a 6.1 inch screen, while the iPhone 14 Plus measures 6.7 inches. Both use an OLED Super Retina XDR panel protected by a ceramic shield.
Apple is still installing the A15 Bionic chipset which was previously embedded in the iPhone 13. Even so, its performance is faster, not only than its predecessors but also cellphones on the market today.
The main camera of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus is also polished. Even though it’s still 12 MP, the sensor used is bigger.
Apple has also installed a new TrueDepth camera, an ultra-wide camera with the ability to capture more scenes and a Photonic Engine which provides improvements when shooting in low light conditions.
When recording videos, Apple provides a new feature called Action Mode. This feature can make the recorded video look very smooth, even when taken while running.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are equipped with Crash Detection which can detect severe car crashes and automatically call emergency services when the user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone.
The iPhone 14 lineup also includes Emergency SOS via satellite, enabling messaging with emergency services when outside cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.
Along with the release of yellow, Apple also launched four new colors for the iPhone 14 line of silicone cases, namely canary yellow, olive, sky and iris. These casings are each priced at USD 49 or around Rp. 755 thousand.
The yellow iPhone 14 and 14 Plus can be ordered starting March 10, 2023. Prices are still the same, starting at USD 829 or around Rp. 12.4 million.
