Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple has finally released the latest operating system for its tablets, namely iPadOS 16, along with the release of the operating system for its smartphones, namely iOS 16.1.
After nearly a month of delayed release, the new iPadOS offers an experience multitasking called “Stage Manager”.
With the launch of GSM Arena on Tuesday, “Stage Manager” support is only available on the third generation and latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, all 11-inch iPad Pros and the latest iPad Air.
When using this feature, users can automatically arrange the applications and their appearance to make various changes to the appearance of the application according to their needs.
The reliability of this feature will be further improved with the year-end updates for iPad M1 and M2 so that the complete external display for “Stage Manager” can reach a resolution of 6K.
iPadOS also brings more new features to the “Messages” app, such as making edits or “edits,” so you can’t send and mark messages as unread.
The same can also be achieved for the “Mail” application as well as many other updates that users can explore directly.
In iPadOS 16, Apple is also introducing support for the shared photo library in iCloud, as well as security enhancements, in addition to Safari.
Meanwhile, for the update on the iOS 16.1 operating system, Apple brings similar support, namely a shared photo library in iCloud.
Then there are also improvements and fixes from the bugs reported in the previous operating system.
The operating system also supports the new connectivity for smart homes according to the Matter standard.
In addition to iPad OS 16 and iOS 16.1, Apple has also released system updates for its smartwatches and TVs, namely watchOS 9.1 and tvOS16.1.
Typically, these OS updates will be available at the same time and will present notifications to users.
But if you don’t receive it, it’s a good idea to do a manual check to get the update.
