Apple releases iOS 16.0.2 to fix iPhone 14 Pro camera shake bug, copy-paste permission, etc.

Apple released iOS 16.0.2 for all iPhone users on Thursday. The update contains important bug fixes, not only for iPhone 14 owners, but also for other models. For example, today’s update addresses an issue that could cause iPhone 14 Pro camera shake unexpectedly in some apps, while also resolving persistent system-wide copy and paste request.

As noted by iPhone 14 Pro users, some third-party apps like Snapchat and TikTok made the camera shake and shake. Although the official reasons remain unclear, the bug likely affected the optical stabilization of the camera lenses.

Another bug that annoyed iOS 16 users was related to the new copy and paste permission, which asks users if they want to allow or deny an app access to the system clipboard. However, this message was constantly displayed to users, even after allowing a specific application to access the clipboard.

Both bugs were fixed with iOS 16.0.2. According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 16.0.2 also fixes VoiceOver bugs and display issues affecting some iPhone models. You can read the official changelog below:

This update provides bug fixes and important security updates for your iPhone, including:

– Camera may shake and cause blurry photos when shooting with some third party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
– The display may appear completely black when configuring the device
– Copying and pasting between apps can cause you to see a permission request more than expected
– VoiceOver may not be available after reboot
– Resolves an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone X, iPhone XR and iPhone 11 screens after being repaired

Update to iOS 16.0.2

Users can now upgrade to iOS 16.0.2 by accessing the Software Update menu in the iPhone Settings app. It should be noted that some of these bugs have already been fixed with iOS 16.1 beta 2, which was released earlier this week for developers.
