The iOS 15.4 update complained about making battery life bad.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Apple has released iOS and iPadOS 15.4.1, updates that fix several accessibility bugs, improve security, and fix a battery drain bug that plagued some people’s phones and iPads after they updated to iOS 15.4.
Although it is still unclear how widespread the problem is, but earlier this month, the Twitter account Apple Support tells customers complaining about battery drain that users will need to adjust for up to 48 hours after the update.
“Thank you for contacting us! We will be happy to help. It’s normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after the update. Please contact us via DM if this is still an issue,” said @AppleSupport.
However, more than two weeks after the update was released, it’s not hard to find recent posts reporting poor battery life. With the presence of this update, it is hoped that all problems will be resolved. iOS 15.4 brings a very useful update to being able to use Face ID while wearing a mask. So, it’s a shame if there are people who don’t want to update for fear of battery problems.
Reported The Verge, Jumat (1/4/2022), even if your battery is fine, it might still be worth an immediate update. Apple says that iOS 15.4.1 and macOS Monterey 12.3.1 which was also released contains security fixes. Unfortunately, warnings of this kind have become fairly routine in Apple’s security bulletins. Meanwhile, delaying updates indefinitely is not a great idea and it seems more important than ever to make sure your devices are running the latest version of their OS.
To update iPhone you, go to Settings > General > Software Update. To update your Mac, go to System Preferences > Software Update.
