Months ago, there was a very important change in Apple services, since the price of Apple Music and Apple TV + increased, going from 9.99 to 10.99 euros and from 4.00 to 5.00 euros respectively, as well as the subscription system for all games from Apple as Apple One. However, it seems that Apple has not stood still in this area, and has raised the iCloud subscription plan.
New prices on Apple services
Apple has raised the subscription of Apple by 25% in countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries. However, this option seems to be spreading to the rest of the world as, for now, the list is not small: Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. In all these countries, similar increases have been seen, making up increases of between 20 and 25% in the greatest of cases. Therefore, the new iCloud prices have progressively risen to £0.99, £2.99 and £8.99 respectively. .
Fortunately, this does not seem to have affected the Apple One service, the subscription that brings together different services such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV +, Apple Fitness, among others. So, in Spain or in the rest of the countries of the European Union there has been such an increase in costs, although as the saying goes “If the river makes a noise its because water is running”so, it is possible that we will see said increase in the coming weeks.
For now, we will be able to continue enjoying iCloud at the prices we previously estimated. Specifically, the basic 50 GB plan is 0.99 euros, while the 200 GB plan is 2.99 euros; the 2 TB plan at 9.99 euros. Nor has the family sharing option changed, which continues to maintain the same characteristics.
The great trick to save space in iCloud
Even with Apple subscription plans, you may run out of space if you’re constantly working with files in the cloud and sharing information across your Apple ecosystem. Therefore, we are going to see some tricks to reduce storage in iCloud and not have to pay an extra subscription.
First of all, if you want to know the memory distribution of iCloud storage space, you can see it from iPhone settings. From there, you can see the storage you have in the cloud and how you have it distributed, indicating the percentage you have of applications, backups, photos and files.
Once you have seen all the content that you have in iCloud, it is best to review the content that you have stored in the library, because if you have activated the iCloud photo library, everything is synchronized and stored in the iCloud space, and many of the photos that you do not want to be stored and we have to delete files that are generated. In addition, a lot of existing information is duplicate photos that you have taken when you are going to take a landscape photo or a family photo. Therefore, the best option is to carry out an analysis and eliminate all residual information.
Finally, remember that if you have the most expensive plans and with more storage, you can use family sharing, which allows you to have up to 6 members of the same family synchronized without having to pay any type of additional subscription.
