Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple introduced the latest generation of iPad Pro with the biggest upgrade in the form of the latest integrated M2 processor.
The latest iPad Pro models come in two sizes, 12.9-inch and 11-inch, and come with Apple Pencil with functionality soar which has been improved.
“Powered by the M2 chip, the new iPad Pro has incredible performance and includes the latest technology, including advanced features like Apple Pencil that has been upgraded to the next level of experience. soar–features, ProRes video capture, wireless charging connectivity and new features for iPadOS 16, ”said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, in a press release Wednesday.
Apple’s previous M2 chip was also found in the 2022 MacBook Air, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro features an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU, along with a 16-core neural engine for the engine.
According to Apple, the processor has 35% faster graphics performance than performance bandwidth 50 percent more memory than the M1 on the previous generation iPad Pro.
With an updated touchscreen and iPadOS 16, the new iPad Pro also supports functions soar with the second generation Apple Pencil.
The pencil can now be detected up to 12mm above the screen and can be enabled to enable additional functionality within the app.
As for connectivity, the new iPad Pro has improved wireless connectivity in the form of Wi-Fi 6E.
The connectivity is said to be capable of delivering downloads up to 2.4Gbps, which is 2x faster than the previous model.
There is also updated Bluetooth 5.3 support and 5G connectivity on the LTE model.
Hence, with the M2 chipset, the camera capabilities of the iPad Pro also experience an increase in performance.
While the dimensions haven’t changed, the new ProRes encoder allows the iPad Pro 2022 to record live video in Apple’s high-quality ProRes codec and transcode it up to 3x faster.
