INDONESIAN INFO. JAKARTA – The United States technology giant, Apple, plans to reduce the number of iPhone and AirPods production. This step was taken due to a decline in demand from the market due to the impact of inflation and the crisis in Ukraine.
Reportedly Reuters on Tuesday (29/3/2022), the iPhone SE was the unit affected by the plan with a production reduction of 20 percent or around 2-3 million units.
The production reduction will take effect in the following quarter.
As for the production of AirPods, Apple is rumored to be reducing production to more than 10 million units in 2022.
News of the plan was first announced by the newspapers Nikkei. Even so, there has been no official comment from Apple regarding this news.
