Apple wants to release new iPhones with a fingerprint scanner in the power button in 2021, writes MacRumors that a report from the generally well-entered analyst Ming-chi Kuo got hold of.
According to Kuo, this is a cheaper model whose power button is completely redesigned. The new phone would not get a face scanner.
Various smartphones from other manufacturers, such as Nokia and Samsung, have had a fingerprint scanner in the power button for some time. Older iPhones have implemented the scanner in the home button of the iPhone. Since the iPhone X, which was released in 2017, iPhones no longer have a fingerprint scanner.
