Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple Inc. has just obtained a patent from the Patent and Trademark Office in the United States to improve the speed of writing on touch screen keyboards.
The patent, quoted from the Phone Arena page, is called “Intelligently deleting back to a typographical error”, or a feature that automatically deletes when there is a typo.
The patent was filed on June 28, 2017.

Apple found a way to improve writing by deleting only the part that had an error, the cursor on the iPhone will automatically move the cursor to the correct letter.
The cellphone will automatically delete the word because it is equipped with you integrated (built-in dictionary) for English.
The phone will be able to predict the next letter after typing, for example the letter “A” will most likely be followed by a consonant.
Apple sees that there is always a possibility of an error in the middle when the user types. Currently, the way to fix typos is to rely on the autocorrect feature or auto-correct.
Apple feels that the autocorrection system has not answered the need because it often recommends different words to the user’s intent.
“What is needed is a way and a system that efficiently allows the user the characters associated with typos and repeats or continues to write characters,” Apple said of the patent.
