Jakarta, Selular.ID – Leaker Mark Gurman, and Debby Wu, a new exclusive from Bloomberg previously revealed that Apple has dropped plans to introduce an in-display Touch ID fingerprint reader for the iPhone 13 lineup.
As is known, for several years, the iPhone only supports unlocking with face ID. However, due to the Covid-19 virus, it requires some people to always wear a mask, making it difficult to unlock the iPhone
This problem was also solved by Apple who designed a new feature to help users quickly unlock iPhones when wearing masks. Therefore, most Apple users are looking forward to the re-introduction of the Touch ID feature on the iPhone 13. At the beginning of the year, there were reports that the Apple iPhone 13 series might use Touch ID technology.
This also seems to be increasingly clarified, the latest news that Apple has registered a patent related to a new idea concept of one of the features that will later exist in various kinds of their gadgets.
Obviously, Apple’s latest patent is related to the concept of the latest Touch ID feature. Apple itself registered their latest patent at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Now recently, the concept of Apple’s idea related to changes in the embedding of the Touch ID feature has been received a patent by the USPTO and Apple has officially received a patent for the concept of the idea.
The concept of the idea in the latest Apple patent relates to changes in the embedding of the Touch ID feature. In short, Apple has an idea concept to embed the Touch ID feature on the screen.
Of course, this is a new thing because so far Touch ID is located on the Home button or on the top button. The plan is that the concept of Touch ID on the screen will be realized by Apple and will be applied to almost all their gadgets, especially the iPhone and iPad. Furthermore, in addition to the concept patent for the on-screen Touch ID feature, the USPTO also received another Apple patent. More specifically, the USPTO has also inaugurated another Apple patent related to the Face ID feature on the screen.

With the acceptance of this idea concept, then Apple’s plan to eliminate the Notch on the iPhone and iPad will be realized. This is because until now, Face ID is located in the Notch section and if Face ID is changed to be on the screen, then Apple can remove the iPhone and iPad Notch.
Until now, Apple has not given an official statement when they will start implementing the concept of the Touch ID and Face ID feature on the screen. Other information says Apple is likely to start doing that in 2022.
Precisely in the iPhone 14 series, Apple will embed the Touch ID and Face ID features for the first time in the smartphone series. Even so, this is still a rumor because there is no definite information from Apple.
