Technologue.id, Jakarta – Apple has won a patent approval regarding a new technology that can enhance the Spatial Audio feature that previously existed.
This technology can use a special chip that is in the Apple AirPods Pro earphones and combine it with additional software and sound signal processors. This is to create a listening experience that is specially adapted to the environment around the user.

According to a patent granted by Apple to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), this feature will attempt to dynamically adjust audio parameters such as an equalizer. With this, Apple seeks to create a listening experience that mimics the acoustic parameters of various environments, such as open fields, concert halls, living rooms, and more.
Along with making the audio output three-dimensional, Apple hopes this will also improve the overall fidelity of the audio performance of its earphones.

As with every patent, there’s no guarantee that this new technology will make it to the consumer market, but this feature of the Apple AirPods lineup is sure to be picked up by future Apple AirPods lineups.
