Apple Partners with 2 New Periscope Camera Module Suppliers for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Who?

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – After months of uncertainty, Apple has finally decided which company to supply the periscope camera module to iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The choice fell to LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics, as reported by The ElecWednesday (18/1/2023).

Mentioned, fine LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronic will provide the OIS actuator for the periscope camera module which supplies 70 percent and 30 percent respectively of the components.

Information, Jahwa has teamed up with Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics to supply series components Galaxy S23 upcoming as well as Galaxy A54.

Currently, Apple’s suppliers–Alps Alpine and Mizumi–have shipped spring-type actuator components for iPhone cameras.

However, the spherical actuator made by LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics is recognized as faster, more accurate and uses less power, which is the reason Apple made the switch.

Both LG Innotek and Jahwa Electronics have invested heavily in their component development facilities.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max will be Apple’s first phone to use a periscope lens, and it won’t be built into any other iPhone 15 models.

In connection with the iPhone 15 leak, it is said that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will get an exclusive feature on the Pro version of the iPhone 14, namely Dynamic Island.

This feature is a replacement for the notch that has been present on iPhone screens for years. Dynamic Island combines hardware and software design to make it interactive and useful for users.

Information about the presence of the Dynamic Island feature on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus was revealed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

He said, Apple is likely to present the same design including Dynamic Island on all models iPhone 15.
