Though the three month offer has actually helped Apple Music survive the onslaught of Spotify. However, citing 9to5 Mac on Saturday, Apple Music’s “Free Trial” period has finally followed the streaming music industry standard with a one-month period.
The Apple Music website also indicates that the free trial service for new users is now only available for one month. After the service expires, users have to pay $9.99 per month.
The changes take effect in 150 countries that Apple Music has served, including Japan, Canada, Australia, the United States, and many more. However, Apple is still providing a six-month free trial period for new service users on its audio technology products. AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, AirPods 3, AirPods Max, Beats, and HomePod mini.
Apple says users who are entitled to the six-month free period must have the latest iOS or iPadOS version. After that, users can enjoy the free period of Apple Music after activating the product.
