An unnamed woman living in the US state of Oregon got the shock of her life after taking her iPhone model smartphone for repair.
The woman, whose private photos on her smartphone were leaked to the internet by the officer working here, won the legal battle about 5 years later.
Appleagreed to pay compensation to the 21-year-old woman for the moral damage she suffered.
It was stated in the news in the country’s press that the amount of compensation was decided to be kept confidential with the joint decision of both parties.
According to the same news, it was also underlined that the compensation in question was ‘several million dollars’.
After the incident in 2016, it was announced that the user in question filed a $5 million compensation lawsuit against Apple.
In the report published on the subject, it was stated that the woman, who is a university student, sent her phone for repair and that the phone was located outside of Sacramento at a facility operated by the Pegatron company.
