Usually the queue to buy an iPhone at Apple Orchard, Singapore is long. But the first sale of the iPhone 15 was different, the queue was still there but not as long as before.
This can be seen from the photo sent by Apple enthusiast Bagus Hernawan. There were only three lines in front of the official Apple store.
Apparently Apple is implementing a different mechanism than before. This year they divided two sales sessions.
“The morning unit pickup session is for consumers who have pre-ordered previously. Only later at 11.00 will it open for walk-ins (direct purchases),” explained Bagus when contacted by detikINET.
Even though the queue was relatively small, it was observed that many potential consumers who wanted to buy were waiting directly outside the queue fence. They didn’t seem to be Singaporeans because some of them were carrying suitcases.
“It looks like it’s from Vietnam and the Philippines. I’ve been staying in front of the shop all night,” said Bagus.

It’s good to come to Apple Orchard just to see the atmosphere. He admitted that he had preordered the iPhone 15 Pro, but chose Apple Marina as the pick-up location.
“I’ve never been there, so I’m just curious. The pickup time can be in the afternoon, at that time Orchard was only in the afternoon,” said Bagus.
The unit purchased for the iPhone 15 Pro Natural Titanium has a capacity of 1 TB. This model was chosen because the iPhone 15 Pro Max is too big in his hand.
“Choose 1 TB because my data is already 510 GB,” he concluded.
