In New York, the company now has to put up with serious allegations that Apple is actively “union busting”. Of the english term (in German about “union destruction”) describes the systematic sabotage of employee representatives or the efforts to prevent their establishment.

The allegations come from the Communications Workers of America (CWA), one of the largest unions in the United States, which recruits its members from the telecommunications, technology, health and journalism sectors.
According to the CWA, Apple in the New Yorker „World Trade Center“-Filiale gave anti-union lectures with compulsory attendance, questioned workers about union activities and restricted the distribution of union leaflets.
Incidents which, according to the CWA, constitute so-called “unfair labor practice” (ULP) must be classified and have now been reported.
When asked about the allegations by the business news agency Bloomberg, Apple responded normally taciturn. Apple is pleased to be able to offer full-time and part-time employees very good compensation and benefits, including health care, tuition reimbursement and parental leave – but Apple is not responding to the specific allegations.
