Apple Opens Self Service Repair Store, Can Repair Your Own iPhone

This means customers can get service manuals and genuine Apple parts and tools to repair their iPhones themselves.

This self-service program has been announced since last year.

Apple Service Self Service Repair Store currently only available in the United States (US).

But later Apple expands to a number of countries, including countries in Europe at the end of this year.

For the time being, the service only offers spare parts and tools for repair on the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and third-generation iPhone SE lineup.

There are more than 200 parts and tools available to repair components such as screens, batteries and cameras.

Later this year, Apple will also offer self-service parts and tools to perform repairs on Mac computers with Apple silicon.

For years Apple has faced scrutiny.

This is because of his resistance to the right to repair movement and pressure from President Jo Biden’s government.

Before ordering parts and tools, customers should first review the repair manual for the product they wish to service.

“The spare parts that Apple offers through the store are the same parts and at the same price,” Apple released ZDNet, Thursday (28/4/2022).

As for customers who don’t want to buy a repair kit, Apple has a tool rental kit available for $49 per week.
