The Apple Online Store is facing an unexpected blackout this afternoon. As reported by several team members, it is currently not possible to navigate in the Accessories category and navigation on the home page appears to be interrupted.
When you access the “Accessory” page, you cannot browse most of the categories, such as “Made by Apple”, “Headphones and Speakers”, and more. By clicking on one of their broken categories, a message appears: “No product available matches the selection you requested. One of the few categories I was able to access was “Health and Fitness”.
Some other users also cannot access the Bag and Order History sections of the Apple Online Store, indicating a larger outage currently affecting Apple.
It is not clear why this is happening as there are no new products to announce. Many major websites were down yesterday including Amazon, Reddit, Twitter, Spotify, etc.
