[23日 ロイター] – Apple is in talks with several media partners, including Walt Disney Co., to develop virtual reality (VR) content for headsets that can experience mixed reality (MR), Bloomberg News reported on the 23rd.
The headset, reportedly developed in collaboration with the Sony Group, is expected to feature two ultra-high-definition displays to handle VR and an external camera to enable an augmented reality (AR) “pass-through mode.” Apple will also update content on its Apple TV Plus video streaming service to work with the new headsets.
Disney, Apple and Sony did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
Apple’s mixed reality headset will be unveiled at an event this spring and will cost about $3,000.
