Apple needs to fix iMessage with iOS 15 – EzAnime.net

We all love using iMessage, and we generally brag about using it with our friends, family, and loved ones. Although iMessage has improved and grown dramatically since its initial release, there are still several ways Apple can improve it with iOS 15 this year.

With iOS 14, the company finally introduced the threaded reply feature in iMessage, brought in pinned conversations, and gave the app some big improvements, but with iOS 15, Apple needs to do more.

For example, have you ever tried scrolling up your old messages in iMessage? It’s almost impossible. You may have gigabytes of data in there that you probably won’t be able to access even if you know exactly the words you typed a few years ago.

And I’m not the only one who thinks Apple should do something. There are several forum discussions about the ability to scroll to the beginning of an iMessage chat on the web. Spencer Dailey, on the Key Discussions blog, wrote about this while trying to find old messages with his wife:

Searching for iMessages in particular is not useful because it is unreliable when searching for iMessages that are older than 2 years. Results miss the broader context of the conversation, or in my case old messages just don’t show up in search. My wife and I know the text of our first messages (we have a screenshot of our first 5 or more messages), and the search just doesn’t return them. But also, what happens if you forget the exact wording of an old message? You are doubly lucky. (And no, I never changed the “Automatically delete old conversations” option, which is an inappropriate option to introduce users to in the first place.

Here, it doesn’t matter if you have 64GB of storage on your iPhone or more than 512GB. The same applies if the messages are stored in iCloud.

And it is not that. The experience of using iMessage on Mac is not like Apple’s. It always takes longer to sync messages, you never understand when a group changes its name or photo, and it is difficult to search for images shared a few weeks ago.

Dailey reminded me of the things I hate the most when using iMessage:

Yesterday I tried to scroll to the “top” of my iMessages that were from and to my wife. After a few minutes, my computer with 16 GB of RAM started “playing on the beach” and the application froze before I could access the messages from 6 months ago. Meanwhile, my wife tried to access our first messages on her iPhone 8 Plus and it was even sadder: after more than 45 minutes of scrolling, it arrived within a year of the conversation beginning and then the iMessages app crashed.

Main functions of iMessage in iOS 15

While having a new Memoji customization is always great, there are several things Apple should do to improve iMessage. Here are some ideas for iOS 15:

Delete recently sent messages; Improve the response thread function; Fix Mac integration with other devices, no more duplicate groups; Allow users to store all the messages they have and allow them to access the messages; Allow a user to send a link and then show the preview instead of waiting for the preview to appear and then sending the message.

In this article, I don’t even want to compare iMessage with WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal. I think we’ve let Apple have these “few” issues over the years with iMessage because it’s so much more convenient to text someone rather than open any other app, but it’s time some of these were fixed. problems.
