You may not have known it, but Apple has been broadcasting via the TV app across the Atlantic for almost a year, a continuous stream of music videos 24 hours a day. The channel is called Apple Music TV, a name which, failing to have the potential to win the Oscar for originality, has the merit of being clear on the content offered.
Like the music channels that can be found on television, democratized by MTV several decades ago, Apple Music TV therefore offers music clips and videos, but also live events, such as concerts.
No need to search your TV application on iPhone and iPad, if you live in France. Apple Music TV was previously only available in the United States. It has just arrived in Canada and the United Kingdom, which, we hope, will soon signify a wider opening towards other countries and in particular Europe, including France.
Because Apple Music TV seems interesting! The stream is untied from any Apple TV + or Apple Music subscription. Anyone with an iPhone or iPad, or even Apple TV, with the TV app installed, can watch the channel without paying anything.
This is a rather interesting idea and one that is not found in the competition. Spotify and Deezer, the two big competitors of Apple Music, have not (yet) bet much on video, unlike Tidal, for which documents, clips and concerts are an integral part of the platform in addition to the music catalog. In addition, like a radio, Apple Music TV allows you to discover titles and / or artists and thus push the user to turn to Apple Music if he is not yet a subscriber.
What about your side, would you be interested in such a stream of music videos on iPhone, iPad or Apple TV?
