Apple Music Classical Partners with Salzburg Festival to Bring Exclusive Performances to Listeners

Apple Music Classical, the application specialized in classical music, has announced a collaboration with the Salzburg Festival. This partnership will bring high-quality recordings of future editions of the festival and archived performances to listeners of Apple Music Classical.

As part of the agreement, the Salzburg Festival will provide exclusive audio recordings from the festival, as well as a spatial audio remaster of past festival recordings. In addition, the festival organization will create exclusive playlists for the application. All exclusive Salzburg Festival content is produced in collaboration with Unitel and ORF and distributed by Platoon.

This collaboration adds to the growing list of partner organizations offering Apple Music Classical listeners exclusive new content. Other contributors include prestigious organizations such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Metropolitan Opera, among others.

The Salzburg Festival, with its rich history of more than 100 years, is excited to showcase its exclusive collection of productions, including opera, concertos, recitals, and chamber music, on Apple Music Classical.

Apple Music Classical was developed to give classical music enthusiasts an unparalleled listening experience. Over the course of seven years, a team of engineers and musicologists meticulously worked on the underlying metadata of the app. This resulted in an app with over 50 million data points, offering optimized search and browsing capabilities for a vast catalog of classical music.

With over five million tracks, 120,000 works, 400,000 movements, and 20,000 composers, Apple Music Classical offers fans the ultimate classical music experience. The app includes curated playlists, exclusive albums, songwriter biographies, detailed guides, intuitive navigation features, and much more. Apple Music subscribers can access the Apple Music Classical app at no additional cost as part of their existing subscription.
