Jakarta (pilar.id) – Classical music fans can celebrate, as Apple has launched a special Apple Music Classical app for iPad. Now, millions of classical music recordings can be enjoyed directly on this popular tablet device.
The new app, Apple Music Classical, can be downloaded directly from the App Store and is included with an Apple Music subscription. With a focus on tablet devices, Apple is presenting an update that includes stability and performance improvements.
“Introducing Apple Music Classical, designed specifically for iPad, plus improved stability and performance,” said Apple’s official statement on the App Store.
Apple previously launched a classical music app for iPhone in March this year, giving users access to an extensive classical music library, with search capabilities by composer, work, conductor and more.
This application is the result of the acquisition of Primephonic, a classical music streaming service, by Apple in 2021. With Apple Music Classical, users can enjoy recordings with Lossless audio quality up to 192 kHz/24-bit.
“Enjoy the highest audio quality available up to 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless in an app designed specifically for classical music, and listen to your favorite classical music like never before in spatial audio,” claims Apple’s statement.
Features specific to iPad include optimization for larger screens, including a full navigation sidebar that makes it easy for users to switch between albums and songs in the library. Additionally, users can access playlists and use the app’s search feature.
Although the classical music app was introduced on Android in May, it is still unclear whether Apple plans to release a version of this app for Mac users. Along with this step, Apple continues to enrich the classical music experience for users on various platforms. (hdl)
