Apple user since 1995, and I know my way around UNIX systems and terminals.
Apple has “boosted” the security of Mac OS in recent years
SIPs, making certain UNIX system folders read only, System-wide encryption, Gatekeeper and more “features”
Catalina already spotted, but with Big Sur Apple has become super annoying, with SUDO, SU, Admin user (with the right PW) I can “manipulate” everything on a UNIX system. However, with BIG SUR, more “sections” of the OS have been made “Read Only”, and if I want to change that as “admin”, BIG Sur REFUSES BECAUSE “I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PERMISSIONS AND PRIVILEGES”
WTF Apple, this is a GROVE violation of UNIX “principles”, turn this shit back, Apple idiots!
Have invested a lot in the Apple ecosystem, but with this shit, I’m considering switching.
