Apple is currently working on several new external monitors, including a high-end version of Pro XDR displays.
Previously, the Pro Display XDR was launched alongside the Mac Pro in December 2019.
Apple is currently working on several Pro Display XDR external monitors featuring the A13 Bionic chip.
Reporting from MacRumors, it is learned from the bulletin issued by Gurman, but unfortunately he did not provide further details.
No word yet on when this latest external monitor will launch.
It’s also not yet known whether or not the new monitor will feature the latest Studio Display.
But Gurman also said that it wasn’t just the monitor that was in development, the Mac Pro was also currently in development.

In his newsletter today, Gurman said the new monitors will be powered by Apple silicon, just like the Studio Display has an A13 Bionic chip. He didn’t share more details or a timeframe for the monitors to launch, but he did note that a brand new Mac Pro is further along in development than the updated Pro Display XDR.
But what is certain about all of Apple’s latest monitor launches is that in October, Apple plans to launch a 27-inch mini LED monitor.
With these specifications, the monitor that launches in October 2023 is likely to be the new Studio Display with ProMotion.
Introduced with Mac Studio in March, you can get Studio Display for $1,599.
Studio Display has a 27-inch screen with 5K resolution and a 12 megapixel Ultra Wide camera.
Meanwhile, you can have the Pro Display XDR for $4,999 which features a 32-inch 6K resolution screen, but lacks a camera.
