Unfortunately this year is somewhat different, due to the Covid-19 outbreak that hit, the iPhone 12 product has become constrained. The release schedule that was supposed to occur in September has been pushed back to October.
The iPhone 12 line has long been a topic of conversation in the gadget world. This series will be the first iPhone series to come with 5G connectivity.
According to the latest reports, Apple will stop producing a number of older iPhone series after the iPhone 12 is released.
Reported by Gizchina, several older iPhone series that will stop producing later are the iPhone XR, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Instead, Apple will focus on selling the iPhone SE 2020 as an alternative to replacing the iPhone XR, because it has almost the same performance.

Not only that, the selling price of the iPhone 11 will reportedly also be cut. The @iAppleTimes account on Twitter revealed that the iPhone 11 will experience a US $ 150 discount. The official price for the iPhone 11 is currently at US $ 699.
The iPhone 12 line will also consist of three variants, namely the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. It is considered that the discontinuation of production of the two iPhone 11 Pro series will not affect Apple’s revenue.
This step was also taken by Apple last year when it released the iPhone 11. At that time, Apple also stopped producing the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, which were arguably less successful in the market.
On the other hand, the iPhone XR at that time was still in production because it received a very positive reception in the market, becoming one of the best-selling iPhone series in the last year.
Unfortunately, since the iPhone 11 was released, the position of the iPhone XR has been replaced. On this basis it is also what makes Apple stop production.
But keep in mind, this news is only a rumor. For certainty, let’s just look forward to the official announcement from Apple ahead of the release of the iPhone 12 line in October.
