Apple is preparing to launch the 16th generation iPhone on September 10 Al Khaleej Newspaper

Apple is planning its annual product launch event this year on September 10, according to a Bloomberg source, where the company plans to unveil the latest iPhones and Apple watches.
Although the time has not yet been announced, and although the representative of Apple refused to comment, the company is preparing for this date, which falls on Tuesday, according to sources. After the announcement of the phones they go on sale on September 20, according to Apple’s usual procedure in recent years.
Slow sales
The announcement is crucial for Apple, which has suffered from slow sales of its smartphones and wearable devices in recent years.
The launch of the new iPhone 16 on September 20 means that some of the device’s revenue has been recorded in this period – Apple’s fourth fiscal quarter – when the company expects sales to grow around by 5% from the previous year.
A larger share of sales will come in the following quarter, which will coincide with the holiday season. Analysts had expected revenue to rise 7% to $128.4 billion in the period.
The iPhone 16 will have larger displays on the Pro models and new camera features, such as a dedicated button to take photos. The company is also expected to launch a set of artificial intelligence tools called “Apple Intelligence.” In general, the phones will not be completely different from last year’s models, according to what was expected.
Quick update on AirPods level
Meanwhile, we expect Apple’s clothing to see even bigger changes. The Apple Watch 10 models will be thinner but will include larger displays. Apple is revamping its AirPods range with new low-end and mid-range versions. For the first time, the company offers noise cancellation on the mid-range AirPods, and the basic model is being updated for the first time since 2019.
Mac Tools
The company also plans to start switching its Macs to M4 processors later this year, but Mac updates typically don’t arrive until about a month after the iPhone launches each year.
To this end, the company has intensively tested four new Mac models, to ensure compatibility with third-party applications, according to developer test records seen by Bloomberg News. This is a big step before new devices are launched. The Macs that appeared were labeled “16.1,” “16.2,” “16.3,” and “16.10.”
They all represent models with basic versions of the M4 chip. Three of the Macs have a total of 10 cores in their central processing units, or CPUs, and a lower-end version includes a total of eight cores – a measure of performance. Versions with 10-core CPUs have 10-core GPUs, or graphics engines. While the model has an 8-core graphics engine with an 8-core CPU. They all have 16 or 32GB of memory.
CPU
The 10-core CPU has the same specifications as the M4 processor in the iPad Pro, including four high-performance parts and 6 efficiency-focused cores. But the fourth chip seen in developer logs only has 8 total cores, divided between four high-performance parts and four efficiency cores.
Bloomberg News reported that a smaller Mac mini, new MacBook Pros, and updated iMacs with M4 chips will be released later this year. (Bloomberg)
